Lundia is sustainable
Most furniture has seen its best days after 10 to 20 years. This does not apply to Lundia cabinets! We often speak to enthusiastic customers who have had a Lundia cabinet for decades and now want an extension or second cabinet. And that is possible. Because in addition to the quality, the trusted Lundia system has also remained the same.

The production of Lundia Original
At Lundia Original, we are proud that our cabinets last for generations. Because a sustainable product starts with a long lifespan. In addition, we make our business processes as environmentally conscious as possible. Read here how we do that.
The softwood for Lundia furniture comes from production forests in (Northern) Europe. These forests are specifically for production wood and are managed sustainably. After at least 30 to 45 years, the trees are ready to be cut down. New trees are then planted.

Sustainable production according to FSC and PEFC
- The softwood is sent to the Lundia factory as rough planks. There, Lundia ensures sustainable production according to high standards.
First of all, all the wood that Lundia uses is FSC certified . FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council. It is the first international quality mark with strict requirements for sustainable and social forest management, supported by governments, companies and environmental organizations.
In addition to FSC certification, Lundia Original production meets other important social and sustainable standards. Our certifications at a glance:
- ISO 4500 stands for good, safe working conditions during production and attention to the health and well-being of employees.
- ISO 9001 indicates that Lundia meets globally recognised requirements for quality management. It is therefore a benchmark for transparency and reliability.
- ISO 14001 is the international standard with requirements for an environmental management system. With this system, Lundia develops appropriate environmental policy and ensures its implementation.

We reuse packaging materials
Of course, your Lundia cabinet must not be damaged during transport. At the same time, we deal sustainably with packaging materials. That is why we pack as many orders as possible with used packaging materials. This way, we never have to buy or throw away cardboard. You can see whether your order is packed with reused material by looking at the sticker on the packaging. Is there any packaging material left in our warehouse? Then we take it to a local recycling point.

How we offset our CO2 emissions
The production and transportation of Lundia Original causes CO2 emissions. We cannot prevent this. But we can compensate for it.
We do this by contributing to sustainability projects together with our sustainability partner Kuwi.org. Since the beginning of 2023, we have been offsetting our entire CO2 emissions in this way. From the supply of materials and the production of parts to the transport to the customer.
Check out below or in our climate log what impact our compensation has made!
