The refined design of Libre has no visible construction joints, which gives it a clean and calm appearance. The fronts are inset and sit 5 mm deeper into the cabinet, so the structure comes into its own even more. You can choose between fixed or adjustable shelves.

With Libre I found a way to bring craftsmanship and efficiency together. The system offers a clear grid that gives direction to a balanced design, without limiting creative freedom.

My pursuit of refinement shows in a restrained aesthetic without visible construction joints, with exceptional flexibility in dimensions, colours and types of wood.

As a cabinet designer I move constantly between the limits of the material and the techniques of production. On one side, made-to-measure work asks for craftsmanship and precision; on the other, for efficiency and repeatability in production. That contrast is exactly where the challenge lies for me.

Panel lengths of up to five metres also create great freedom in both horizontal and vertical applications. Libre is therefore not just a product to me, but a design approach in which technique, aesthetics and freedom are brought into balance.

Lundia Libre matches Lundia Original in quality and lifespan. Both collections therefore come with a lifetime warranty.

Lundia Libre differs from Lundia Original on a number of points. Libre shelves are adjustable every 32 mm, Original shelves every 50 mm. Like Original, Lundia Libre comes as standard with a full row of holes for adjusting the shelves. The holes themselves are less noticeable on Libre, with a diameter of 3 mm against 5 mm on Original. Libre can also be supplied with holes drilled only at the shelf heights you choose. In that case there are no other visible holes and the shelves have a fixed position.

The load capacity of the Libre shelves is considerable. A load of 50 kg of books on a 100 x 30 cm shelf produces no visible deflection (no more than 0.5 mm). Thanks to the additional shelf bracket, the shelves of Lundia Original can carry heavier loads, up to 200+ kg.

On Libre, doors, drawers and flaps are inset and placed 5 mm deeper into the cabinet. On Original, doors and drawers are overlay.

The parts of Lundia Libre and Lundia Original are not interchangeable, unless stated otherwise.

The Libre cabinets are made in a different factory from the Original cabinets. Many colours are identical, but differences in the production process can cause slight colour variations.
